Saturday, 26 February 2022 (YJC)_ Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran said that Iran decided to continue progress in its peaceful nuclear program.
Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Mohammad Eslami said that Iran decided to continue progress in its peaceful nuclear program.
Despite Western and UN nuclear watchdog’s pressures, Iran has decided to continue progress in its peaceful nuclear program. According to articles two and three of its Statute, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is duty-bound to encourage and assist the development and practical application of peaceful atomic energy throughout the world,” he noted.
He went on to say that “They created obstacles, and they withhold help, but with the grace of God and the support of the Leader, we have a glorious nuclear program today and we should expand it in all dimensions.”
“Having joined the IAEA and the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), Iran has the most peaceful nuclear program, though some countries accuse us of trying to make an atomic bomb. Sanctions have been imposed to Iran due to its resistance against domination.” he added.
The IAEA certified Iran’s compliance with the 2015 Iran deal 15 times until 2019, when the country began to ditch some of its nuclear obligations in a legal retaliatory move a year after Washington’s unilateral withdrawal from the deal.
