Today (Friday), the spokesman of the Yemeni Armed Forces, Brigadier General Yahya Sari, announced the downing of the second US-made drone in Ma'rib province.
A spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces said:
Our air defense - thank God - was able to shoot down an American-made "Eagle Scan" spy drone with a suitable weapon.
Yahya was quick to add that the drone was shot down during a hostile mission this morning in the city of Al-Juba, in the province of Ma'rib.
The statement came as Yahya quickly announced hours before the downing of an American drone in al-Jawf province. A spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces said that the Yemeni forces had shot down a US-built UAE MQ-1 UAV with a surface-to-air missile.
The Yemeni military has always stated that it will target the countries' strategic facilities and military equipment as long as the Saudi coalition continues to invade Yemen. Sanaa forces have repeatedly announced the downing of Emirati and Saudi drones in recent months.
