Friday, 25 February 2022 (YJC)_ The President of Ukraine criticized the Western countries for not helping Kiev in the face of Russian military operations by announcing a general mobilization order throughout the country.
"We were left alone in the fight against Russia," Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Friday morning, implicitly criticizing Western countries.
Zelenskyy wrote on his Twitter page:
Ukraine was left alone in its defense. The West only speaks of its support and reveals that he has not left Kiev.
He later said in a televised speech that Russian-linked sabotage groups were operating in Kiev.
Based on the information, I say that I am the number one target of Russia and my family is their No. 2 target.
According to Sputnik, he also ordered a general mobilization throughout Ukraine in order to counter Russia's military operation in Denbas.
According to the 90-day order, the Ukrainian people must provide the government and the army with buildings, vehicles, facilities, land, technical equipment and other equipment.
The Ukrainian president also called on Western countries to impose tougher sanctions on Russia and cut off access to the Swift system.
Zelenskyy also reported that 137 people were killed and 306 others wounded in the Russian military operation.
The Ukrainian army also said that 60 tactical battalions of the Russian army had entered the country.
The goal of the Russian forces is to besiege Kiev and create a land corridor on the southern coast towards Crimea.
The Ukrainian military said in a statement that it had destroyed 30 Russian tanks, five planes and six military helicopters on the first day of the clashes.
Adviser to the President of Ukraine also announced:
200 Russian special forces soldiers were killed at Hostomel airport.
It was on Thursday morning that Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered a special operation in the Denbas region in response to a request for military assistance from the leaders of the separatist region of eastern Ukraine. Subsequently, Russian military fighter jets, artillery, and missile systems targeted various military positions from east to west and north to south of Ukraine.
