Thursday, 24 February 2022 (YJC)_ The Iranian embassy in Kiev advised Iranian compatriots to do everything possible to leave Ukraine and avoid approaching sensitive military bases.
The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kiev today (Thursday) issued a statement following the recent developments in Ukraine.
The announcement states:
Given the latest developments in Ukraine and the restrictions announced by the Ukrainian government, it is announced that all Iranians residing and students should apply to leave Ukraine by any means possible.
The embassy announced:
If the conditions for leaving Ukraine are not met, Iranian compatriots are urged to settle in safe places and shelters provided by city and provincial officials.
In this announcement, Iranian compatriots are advised to avoid approaching military and sensitive centers.

Given that the skies of Ukraine are currently closed, the embassy's consultations with the Ukrainian government will continue in order to obtain a flight permit if the restrictions are lifted, and will be announced later in future announcements.
