Thursday, 24 February 2022 (YJC)_ A White House spokesman claimed that given the pace of Iran's nuclear progress, there was very little time left to reach an agreement in the Vienna talks.

White House: There is little time left to reach an agreement in ViennaWhite House spokeswoman Jennifer Psaki said there was little time left to reach an agreement with Iran in the Vienna talks.

Psaki told a news conference at the White House on Thursday morning:
What we are seeing is that significant progress is being made and we are close to a possible agreement. But there are a number of very difficult issues that remain unresolved.

Asked if they were close to reaching an agreement in the Vienna talks, she told the American media:
Given the speed of Iran's nuclear progress, there is very little time left to reach an agreement.

A White House spokesman continued:
We should also note that usually the most difficult components are where the most difficult conversations and negotiations take place. So, yes, there is significant progress and we are close. But there is still much to be done.

Psaki claimed:
We believe that if Iran is serious, we can and should reach an agreement on a reciprocal return to full implementation of the JCPOA within a few days. But there is still more work to be done.
