Thursday, 24 February 2022 (YJC)_ Ukraine's foreign minister has called on the UN Security Council to hold another meeting to review the country's crisis over tensions with Russia.
Ukrainian officials continued to worry about tensions with Russia and the crisis in the east, prompting them to seek further assistance from the Security Council.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kolba on Thursday morning called on the UN Security Council to hold another meeting to review the crisis in the country amid tensions with Russia.
Kolba wrote on his Twitter page:
Ukraine has called for an urgent meeting of the UN Security Council following a request from Russia for military assistance to the occupying powers in Donetsk and Luhansk, which is exacerbating the security situation.
He also claimed:
Worrying reports are heard from Crimea about the night shift of the Titan Chemical Plant in Armiansk, which has been evacuated from the facility. This may be the prelude to another provocative action by Russia. Moscow does not seem to have any restrictions on trying to make excuses for further aggression.
