In a message on his twitter account, Deputy Chief of the Iranian Judiciary and head of the country's Human Rights Headquarters, Kazzem Gharibabadi blasted the Canadian police for using LRADs against protestors.
“Pressing ahead with its heavy-handed clampdown on protesters, the Canadian police are now wearing LRADs (long-range acoustic devices),” he wrote.
He went on to add “LRADs can cause significant damage to auditory nerves. Another brazen move to stifle the voices of dissent! Hush! Canadian protesters don’t scream!”
Prior to this, Kazzem Gharibabadi had blasted Canada for arresting protestors, described the protesters as peaceful, and said their protest is done in the so-called Land of the Free.
On Saturday, Canadian Police officers cleared out demonstration in Ottawa, moving from truck to truck and arresting protesters as they continued to subdue the occupation that has disrupted the Canadian capital for weeks.
