A Sikorsky S-61 helicopter carrying four Army contractors crashed at a Pacific missile base on the island of Kauai, Hawaii, U.S. Navy officials said.
According to media sources, the helicopter belonging to "Croman" company, which is a contractor of the US Army and Navy, had a fatal accident during a training mission in the state of Hawaii.
According to Sputnik news agency, all the occupants were killed when the Sikorsky S-61 helicopter crashed at the "Pacific Missile Base" on the island of Kauai, which was carrying four army contractors.
According to the US Navy, the victims of the helicopter crash were not military personnel. US officials did not provide further details on the victims' names or identities.
The US National Transportation Safety Board and the Pacific Missile Base have launched an investigation into the cause of the helicopter crash. The missile base is located in the west of the island of Kauai, where missile defense tests and exercises are conducted.
