Tuesday, 22 February 2022 (YJC)_ In connection with his meeting with the President of Iran, the Emir of Qatar wrote in a message that he had discussed the expansion between the two countries with Seyyed Ibrahim Ra'isi.
The Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, paid a visit to Doha on Monday evening in a message on his Twitter account.
The Emir of Qatar wrote in this regard:
I met with President Ibrahim Raeisi, whom I was pleased to welcome today, to discuss the synergy between Qatar and Iran, a country with which we have historical relations based on the principle of neighborliness and the realization of common interests. In addition to the most important developments in the region and the world, we discussed ways to maintain regional security and stability.
President Seyed Ibrahim Raeisi headed a delegation to Doha yesterday, Monday, in response to an invitation from the Emir of Qatar. The President of Iran is scheduled to attend the OPEC meeting today. The visit took place while the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, had recently visited Doha and met with the Emir and Foreign Minister of Qatar.
