Tuesday, 22 February 2022 (YJC)_ The President of Ukraine, stating that Kiev reserves the right to defend its interests, said that Ukraine's international borders will remain stable regardless of Russia's decisions.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelinsky said Tuesday morning that Russia's recognition of the separatists was an attack on Ukrainian sovereignty.
During an emergency speech on Moscow's decision to recognize the independence of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions from Ukraine, Zelensky explained:
Russia's actions violate Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity. Ukraine's international borders will remain the same regardless of Russia's decisions.
According to Sputnik, he stated that Ukraine reserves the right to defend its interests:
We are ready for anything, anytime. But Kiev is committed to resolving political and diplomatic issues.
The President of Ukraine further emphasized:
We are not afraid of anything and we do not give anything to anyone. Recognition of the Donetsk and Luhansk republics means Russia's withdrawal from the Minsk agreements.
