China will deliver 25 J-10 fighter jets to Pakistan in a matter of weeks to bolster its military capabilities to defend its airspace, News International reported Monday, quoting the Financial Times.
According to the report, the first batch of the warplane is being tested in Chengdu, the manufacturer. Senior Islamabad officials said the jets would be delivered before the end of this month.
Pictures of the J-10 fighter with the Pakistan Air Force logo have recently been posted on social media and widely shared by the media. Explaining the issue, Chinese analysts praised the latest defense cooperation between the two countries, saying that the move was in response to security interests in terms of increasing the Pakistani military's combat capability.
Chinese analysts said the fighter would significantly increase the combat capability of the Pakistan Air Force.
