Deputy Chief of the Iranian Judiciary and head of the country's Human Rights Headquarters Kazzem Gharibabadi blasted Canada for arresting protestors.
On Saturday, Canadian Police officers cleared out demonstration in Ottawa, moving from truck to truck and arresting protesters as they continued to subdue the occupation that has disrupted the Canadian capital for weeks.
In a tweet on Sunday, Gharibabadi described the protesters as peaceful, and said their protest is done in the so-called Land of the Free.
“Peaceful protesters in the so-called Land of the Free are shushed, and guess what? Nobody ever dares to talk about egregious human rights violations taking place on a daily basis in Canada. Well, the critics may have been shushed, too!” he wrote.
