Sunday, 20 February 2022 (YJC)_ The Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces said: "Today we can say with certainty that the oppressive and arrogant enemies of the Iranian nation can hardly even imagine the idea of a military invasion of the country, and this is not something that is easily achieved."
On the sidelines of the inauguration of the Mehr Complex of the Army in Sistan and Baluchestan Province, Major General Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, stated:
I thank God that I succeeded in attending the valuable province of Sistan and Baluchestan on the eve of the great Eid al-Fitr.
He added:
Today, I am once again witnessing the efforts of my comrades in the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and the Disciplinary Command of the country.
General Bagheri continued:
According to Imam Ali, the Armed Forces are the guardians and strongholds of the Islamic Ummah and have a mission and responsibility to defend the territorial boundaries and security of the country around the clock and away from daily worries, and in this way to sacrifice their lives, property and all their lives.
He said:
We thank God that during all these 43 years of the Islamic Revolution, an example of this demand of the Amir al-Mu'minin was and is a Muslim warrior. Our armed forces are the only difference in the color of their clothes, and in the most remote border areas and with the most difficult living conditions, they have provided the highest level of security and defense for Sistan province and for the whole country.
Referring to the historical process of formation of the Islamic Revolution and the transition from the era of holy defense, the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces said:
The nation that freed itself from the yoke of arrogance and colonialism with the Islamic Revolution and faced a great 8-year invasion that could have occupied large parts of the western and southwestern provinces.
He clarified:
Our armed forces and our dear people, under the harsh conditions of the sanctions, upgraded the defense near Ahwaz to defending along the borders and conducting advisory operations and efforts for the security of the country hundreds and thousands of kilometers away from the borders of the country.
Sardar Bagheri said:
