Saturday, 19 February 2022 (YJC)_ The Foreign Minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina, during a meeting with his Iranian counterpart in Munich, while appreciating the support of the Islamic Republic of Iran during the war years in this country, emphasized on the further development and expansion of relations with Iran.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, who is in Munich on Friday evening, continued his meetings on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference with Ms. Bisra Turkovic, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He talked and exchanged views.
During the meeting, the Foreign Minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina thanked the Islamic Republic of Iran for its vital support during the war years and expressed the Bosnian people's appreciation for the government and people of Iran, and explained the latest developments in Bosnia.
Ms. Bisra Turkovic also announced the readiness of this country to further develop and expand relations with our country.
In this meeting, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian also appreciated Bosnia's supportive positions for our country in international forums, including on the issue of human rights:
The Islamic Republic of Iran has always supported territorial sovereignty and integration in Bosnia and does not consider it right to undermine national sovereignty in Bosnia.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of our country emphasized:
God willing, we will witness the widespread participation of the people in the 2022 elections in Bosnia and the strengthening of the process of sustainable development in this friendly country.
During the meeting, the Foreign Ministers of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Bosnia discussed some projects and areas of cooperation, including the provision of vaccines by Iran to this country.
