Condemning terrorist acts, Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad said on Tuesday that those who encourage terrorism must stop working before terrorism reaches their country.
In an interview with Al-Watan newspaper, he said about the bombing in Damascus:
Such condemned terrorist acts show the continuing aggression of the West and the United States and their continued support for armed terrorist groups.
The Mekdad added:
We will continue with the steadfastness of the Syrian Arab Army to achieve achievements that will ensure the security of the Syrian people and, on the other hand, guarantee the fight against international terrorism.
The Syrian Foreign Minister said:
We condemn all these actions against the Syrian people and its infrastructure, and we say to all those who encourage terrorism that they should stop doing this, because terrorism may reach their homes and know that some countries are hostile to Syria. The consequences of encouraging, financing and supporting terrorism are suffering.
Mekdad stressed:
The international situation is at a dangerous stage of tension, largely due to the fact that Western countries are targeting countries that continue to strive to maintain their sovereignty and independence.
