The Islamic Jihad movement in Palestine condemned Bahrain's welcome to Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett on Monday, saying:
Any normalization of relations with the Zionist regime and the welcome of the officials of this regime is an encouragement for them to continue their aggression against the nation, the land and the sanctities of Palestine.
The movement said in a statement:
The presence of any Zionist in any Arab country is an insult to the Arab land and will not benefit the Islamic countries and nations; Rather, it poses a threat to our countries.
Islamic Jihad stated:
The ambitions and dreams of the children of Zion and their Talmudic grudges against our nations, which reject normalization and unity with this regime and are the enemy of our religion and nation, are not hidden from anyone.
Islamic Jihad emphasized in the end:
We call on the brotherly nation of Bahrain and all the Islamic Ummah to continue rejecting the compromise with the Zionists and to condemn all the compromisers and allies with the Zionist enemy, because it is the nations that are genuine and enduring and express the conscience of the Ummah and its principles and ideals.
Hamas spokesman Fawzi Barhoum also said in a statement that he regretted Bahrain's welcome to the Israeli prime minister, saying that Naftali Bennett was responsible for a policy of collective punishment and crimes of displacement of Palestinians, settlements and racism against the Palestinian people.
He rejected the visit of Israeli officials to some Arab capitals and said:
These actions do not legitimize Tel Aviv and do not bring good to the region, but rather make the region, which is still involved in the Zionist colonial project, more insecure and unstable.
Al-Barhoum further praised the positions of the Bahraini people in rejecting the normalization of relations with the occupying regime and their support for the rights of the Palestinian people and said:
We call on the compromising countries to return to their wrong path.
