Damascus called on the world community and international and humanitarian organizations to take immediate action to stop the Zionist regime from insisting on killing and persecuting Palestinians and depriving them of their rights.
According to the Syrian state news agency (SANA), the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement in response to the Zionist military attacks on the Palestinians in Jerusalem and the West Bank in the last two days:
The continuation of Israel's brutal actions in confiscating Palestinian lands, demolishing houses and evicting Palestinians from their homes is an illegal act, leading to escalating tensions in the region in general and in the Palestinian territories in particular.
The statement said:
The orders issued by the occupying Israeli authorities to displace Palestinian citizens and evacuate their property in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of occupied Jerusalem are war crimes and crimes against humanity, and a clear violation of international law and international humanitarian law.
The ministry said that Syria calls on all countries in the world and international and humanitarian organizations to work immediately to stop these Israeli actions and to stop Israel from insisting on killing, harassing and depriving Palestinians of their rights.
