Tuesday, 15 February 2022 (YJC)_ A conference in solidarity with the Bahraini people was held in Beirut, during which Lebanese figures condemned the repression of the Al Khalifa regime and the revelation of its relations with the Zionist regime.
The Al-Wefaq National Islamic Association of Bahrain held a meeting on Monday evening entitled "Solidarity Conference" on the occasion of the 11th anniversary of the beginning of the February 14th revolution in Bahrain at the Beirut Cultural Center in the Dahiya district.
According to Al-Ahd, Sheikh Hussein Al-Dihi, Deputy Secretary General of the Al-Wefaq Association of Bahrain, said at the meeting:
We reject the ridiculous meeting that the Prime Minister of the Zionist regime is supposed to have with the King of Bahrain.
He emphasized:
We, the people of Bahrain, will remain the defenders of the Palestinian cause and will not accept any normalization of relations with the occupying Israeli regime.
Mahmoud Qamati, a member of the Lebanese Hezbollah Political Council, also stressed:
The Bahraini authorities have gone so far as to deprive their citizens of citizenship simply because they want their rights from the ruling regime, which grants citizenship to foreigners in order to change the population structure of Bahrain.
Qamati said:
The people of Bahrain want to reform and achieve some of their legitimate demands, but they have been oppressed.
Sheikh "Maher Hammoud", the president of the Association of Resistance Scholars, also emphasized in this ceremony:
We must either support the resistance, the liberation, the Palestinian cause and the rights of the nations, or we must support repression, oppression and humiliation, imprisonment and normalization.
He stressed that the issue of Bahrain is not separate from the issues of the Islamic Ummah:
We defend the case of Bahrain, Sheikh Ali Salman and Sheikh Issa Qasim and their honesty and rights.
