Sunday, 13 February 2022 (YJC)_ The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces said: "As time goes by during the holy defense, the importance, value and place of this great event in the history of the country, the region and even the world become clearer."
Today, Sunday, at the 10th meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation for the Preservation of Relics and Publication of the Values of Sacred Defense, which was held at the National Museum of the Islamic Revolution and Sacred Defense, Maj. Gen. Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, added:
We thank and appreciate the glorious efforts and presence of the great nation of Iran on the 22nd of Bahman, as well as the efforts made by the relevant agencies to hold this ceremony.

We cherish the memory of Imam Khomeini, the great Fajr creator of the history of the country and the world, and we also ask for God's mercy and approval for his high spirit from our dear Lord.
Major General Bagheri added:
We cherish the memory of all the martyrs who have kept this glorious current of revolution and being and remaining revolutionary since the formation of the Islamic Revolution, and we hope that God will grant all those eager to achieve this path.
The Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces continued:
The truth is that as time passes from the time of the Holy Defense, the importance, value and place of this great event in the history of the country, the region and even the world become clearer.
He added:
Perhaps at that time or in periods close to the time of the Holy Defense, the importance of this historical current was not so prominent and clear; How a nation that had just been liberated from the tyranny of the Pahlavi regime and during the year and a half of the nascent Islamic government, just as they were consolidating their system, revolution and country, and confronting internal conspiracies, suddenly launched an invasion. Sangin was confronted by global arrogance and with the support of more than 30 countries from an oppressive tyrannical regime, and they lost part of their country territory and suffered a lot of damage.
General Bagheri emphasized:
This war was accompanied by comprehensive sanctions for the Iranian nation; But the great nation of Iran, with empty hands and the help of God's grace and help, and relying on the people and its internal strength and redoubled efforts, was able to stand against adversity and hardships and achieve this great victory.
The Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces said:
Indeed, when we study the various dimensions of the great event of the Holy Defense, the hidden angles of it are still revealed, the dimensions of which may not have been clear to many people who were present at that time, and of course the angles of this historical current continue. New dimensions are emerging from it.
