Friday, 11 February 2022 (YJC)_ The police chief of the British capital was forced to resign after several scandals and clashes with the mayor of London.
The British Metropolitan Police Chief, Dim Chrisida Dick, was forced to resign after a long period of speculation and conflict.
According to the Sky News website, after a recent scandal and the exchange of racist, sexist, anti-feminist and anti-Islamic statements at a London police station, the mayor of the city, Sadegh Khan, had asked Dick for an explanation.
However, Sadegh Khan said in a statement on Thursday that he was "unconvinced" by the Metropolitan Police Chief's response and that he had been "informed that Dim Crisida Dick had announced that he would step down".
On the other hand, the parties of the British Prime Minister at the height of the outbreak of the Corona virus and the imposition of severe restrictions on citizens, are now under the microscope of the police and several senior officials of the British government have resigned. However, a spokesman for the British Prime Minister claimed that the changes in the composition of government officials were made in order to improve control.
In a similar statement about Dick's resignation, Sadegh Khan said:
It is clear that the only way to achieve some of the necessary changes is to have a new leadership at the head of the metropolitan police.
