Wednesday, 9 February 2022 (YJC)_ The Iranian Health Ministry spox announced that 39,085 new Covid-19 cases has been detected in the country in the past 24 hrs.
The Iranian Health Ministry spokesperson announced on Wednesday that 39,085 new COVID-19 infections have been detected across the country in the past 24 hours 2,902 of which has been hospitalized.
“A sum of 39,085 COVID-19 infections and 116 deaths has been identified due to the disease in the past 24 hours” the spox said while adding that “This brings the total number of cases to 6,696,927.”
116 COVID patients have lost their lives in the past 24 hours that bring the total death toll 133,164,” the ministry added.
“2,853 people are being treated in ICUs in hospitals across the country, while 6,215,909 have already gained recovery,” the health ministry added.
45,707,518 coronavirus diagnosis tests have so far been carried out across the country,” the ministry added while announcing “120 cities are rated red, 153 cities are orange, 167 cities are yellow, and 8 cities are blue.”
According to the latest figures, more than 401,819,209 people have so far been infected with the novel coronavirus globally, with the deaths standing 5,785,073 and recoveries amounting to 321,570,474.
