Wednesday, 9 February 2022 (YJC)_ On Tuesday, the head of the Russian negotiating team met separately with the head of the Iranian delegation to the Vienna talks and the US Special Representative for Iran.
Mikhail Ulyanov, Russia's representative to international organizations in Vienna, Austria, announced his meeting with Ali Bagheri, the head of Iran's negotiating team in the Vienna talks.
He wrote in a Twitter message:
Immediately after the resumption of the Vienna talks on the Comprehensive Joint Action Plan, I met with Mr. Bagheri Kani, the head of the Iranian team.
Ulyanov made the announcement an hour after meeting with US envoy to Iran Robert Mali.
The Russian diplomat wrote:
I met with Mr. Robert Malley, the US Special Representative for Iran. We explored the prospects for the Vienna Conversation on the Comprehensive Joint Action Plan.
