Tuesday, 8 February 2022 (YJC)_ Iranian President said that reaching an agreement in JCPOA depends on the US and west approach to sanctions removal.

President Raeisi: Reaching Agreement Depends on Removal of SanctionsIn his meeting with visiting Finnish Foreign Minister Pekka Haavisto in Tehran, Iranian President Seyed Ebrahim Raeisi said that reaching an agreement in JCPOA depends on the US and west approach to sanctions removal.

In case of sanctions removal, the way will be paved for an agreement. Iran has proven that it will be fiddle to its commitments, we will not leave our country’s economy waiting for the results of the talks,” Iranian president noted.

He went on to say that “US has left the agreement unilaterally and violated the JCPOA, Europeans are those who did not fulfill their obligations and Iran’s full commitment to the nuclear deal and issue has been verified by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).”

Prior to this, the Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh referred to the ongoing Vienna talks and said it is a test for Western governments.

In a separate remark, the Iranian Foreign Minister Amir-Abdollahian addressed US administration, noted that they must show their goodwill in practice and added “The United States must show its goodwill, instead of sending messages through its intermediaries in JCPOA talks.”

Also, Iranian President said the US Maximum pressure policy is so failed that even the country’s administration admits it.
