Tuesday, 8 February 2022 (YJC)_ Iranian government spokesman said President Raeisi is likely to attend the GECF summit.
Announcing that the Iranian President, Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi has planned several attendances at regional and international meetings, Iranian government spokesman Ali Bahadori Jahromi said the President is likely to attend the GECF summit.
“Iranian government has the policy to play a role in global and regional summits, in this regard, Iranian President will have bilateral meetings and trips in near future. He has been invited to attend the GECF summit, and he will likely take part,” Jahromi said in his weekly press conference on Tuesday.
President Raeisi’s attendance will be made at the invitation extended by the Emit of Qatar to take part in the meeting of Heads of State and Government of Member Countries of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum late last month.
Elsewhere in his remarks, government spokesman also referred to the restoration of some sanctions waiver on Iran and noted “There is no change in Iran’s policy and it will not be. a temporary agreement was not and would not be on Iran's agenda. The Iranian government is seriously determined to achieve an effective result, a good agreement with sufficient guarantees would be achieved if the other side show their determination in this regard in practice.”
