Sunday, 6 February 2022 (YJC)_ Iranian President said the US troops withdrawal from the region will bring peace and stability.
In a phone conversation with Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi, Iranian President Seyed Ebrahim Raesi said the US troops withdrawal from the region will bring peace and stability.
“If extra-regional powers stop their intervention, all problems and issues in the region can be resolved,” Iranian President noted while adding that “Problems in the region is caused by the Americans' excessive demands, therefore, if expelled from the region we can see the establishments of peace, stability and security in the region.”
He went on to refer to the successful battle of Iran and Iraq against the ISIL and Takfiri groups and said “Such experience is enough to establish regional security and stability.”
Elsewhere in his remarks, Iranian president pointed out Iran’s willingness to expand ties with Baghdad and said “Iraq has a special position in the Iranian administration's foreign policy. A strong and solid government and a powerful and united society in Iraq is Iran’s desire.”
He finally hoped that national solidarity and unity could bring political structure in Iraq to increase stability and progress of the Iraqi nation.”
