Saturday, 5 February 2022 (YJC)_ The Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman said Washington's move to restore sanction waivers to some countries is not enough.
In reaction to the recent US decision to restore sanction waivers to some countries cooperating with Iran, the Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh said this move is not enough.
“US should lift all sanctions, including the nuclear issue,” he said and added that “the dimensions of the lifting of the nuclear-related sanctions we’ve heard today is not enough and everyone knows it.”
Khatibzadeh went on to say that “Regarding the sanctions lifting, Iran is waiting for US to fulfill its obligations, we will consider any action that is in the right direction of fulfilling JCPOA obligations.”
In a separate remark, the Iranian Foreign Minister Amir-Abdollahian addressed US administration and noted that they must show their goodwill in practice.
Currently, the 8th round of Vienna talks on the removal of anti-Iranian sanctions is underway in Vienna.
