Saturday, 5 February 2022 (YJC)_ "Today, more than ever, we are committed to the resistance as an approach and as a weapon against Israeli aggression," the speaker of the Lebanese parliament said Friday.

Nabih Berri: We adhere to the weapon of resistanceOn the occasion of the 38th anniversary of the February 6 intifada and the anniversary of the martyrdom of Hassan Qusayr on February 7, the Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, Nabih Berri, said:
This intifada shows the right national path in a situation where many are confused by different paths.

According to Al-Ahd, on February 6, 1984, following the intifada of the Shiite people in the western and southern parts of Beirut (Dahiya), the Amal movement and the forces of the National Movement took control of these areas and drove out the Israeli occupiers.

The martyrdom of Hassan Qusayr, 20, took place on February 7, 1985, in the northern Al-Burj area of the southern Lebanese city of Tire, during which he pulled his car from an alley next to a school and hit a convoy of occupying vehicles, killing and wounding dozens of officers. And the enemy soldier became the occupier.

Nabih Berri described the February 6 intifada as the defeat of the enemy project and the victory of a homeland and said:
The identity of Lebanon is Arabic and not Hebrew. February 6 is not a memory or a day in history; Rather, it is history and vision for the future.

Berri said:
Thirty-eight years later, today, more than ever, and with the same determination that has built this national honor, we are ready to defend what was achieved on February 6, 1984, and we are ready to safeguard all those achievements under the law. And also to protect internal peace, coexistence and adherence to the culture, approach and weapons of the resistance against the hostility of Israel and its extravagance so that Lebanon remains a point of victory and not defeat.
