The Pentagon is not investigating the killing of civilians in an attack on an ISIS leaderPentagon spokesman John Kerby said the Pentagon had no plans to investigate the deaths of civilians during operations in Syria.

Kirby told a news conference at the Pentagon:
The United States has not yet made a decision to investigate the killing of civilians in Syria during an operation to oust the leader of the ISIS terrorist group.

According to the RIA Novosti website, he confirmed that several civilians had been killed in the attack on the hideout of the new ISIS leader Abu Ibrahim al-Qurashi in Idlib, saying that at least three civilians had been killed in the operation.

A Pentagon spokesman said al-Qurashi had been killed in the blast, which he said had killed his wife and two children.

According to the report, Kirby stated:
We know that three people were with him on the third floor and they were killed. They are his wife and two children. On the second floor of the mansion, the soldiers exchanged fire with Al-Qurashi's deputy, who was killed.

He then simply shrugged off the responsibility of killing civilians in the operation, he said.
The United States is convinced that terrorists, not the US military, are responsible for killing civilians during the operation to eliminate the leader of the ISIS terrorist group in northwestern Syria.

A Pentagon spokesman also claimed that the United States had been planning an operation against the new ISIS leader for several months, according to RIA Novosti.
