Thursday, 3 February 2022 (YJC)_ Iranian Oil Minister said, after removal of the US sanctions, the country is ready to supply to the global market.
In his remarks after a meeting of the OPEC+ alliance of oil producing nations, Iranian Oil Minister Javad Owji said the country is ready to supply to the global market after removal of the US sanctions.
“If US lifts its cruel sanctions against Iran, we are ready to immediately boost supply of oil to the global markets,” he noted while urging major economies to put pressure on Americans to remove sanctions if they are not satisfied with the current price level and the amount of oil supply.
“I propose them to immediate cancel the unilateral sanctions against Iran and to open up the space for the return of Iranian crude output to the global markets,” Iranian Minister said.
He also went on to say that if the major producers like Iran do not boost their supplies to the markets, the current energy crisis in Europe and other parts of the world will not be eased.
US sanctions caused Iran’s oil export to decline since 2019. It started to recover in the second half of but supplies have remained at around 1 million barrels per day (bpd).
