Muqtada al-Sadr added:

Rather, it should be done through dialogue and understanding with the countries of the region, and not by endangering the sanctities of Iraq and its people, because Iraq needs peace, prestige and disobedience to the orders of foreigners.

The leader of the Sadr faction also stated:
It is important that Iraq is not the starting point for any aggression against neighboring countries and the region. The government must deal seriously and decisively with the perpetrators. Otherwise, the government itself will not only be to blame, but its silence will have very bad consequences.
