As the President stated in his speech at the ECO Summit in Ashgabat in December, the Islamic Republic of Iran is trying to flourish trade relations between the countries of the region and to realize all the transport potentials in the countries of the region. Fortunately, at the recent ECO Planning Council meeting hosted by the ECO Secretariat in Tehran, the instructions of the ECO Presidents were on the agenda, and the representatives of the member states discussed ECO's next year's executive plan and how to implement the summit resolutions in various areas such as trade. , Investment, transportation, information and communication technology, agriculture, energy, mining, environment, health, banking cooperation, natural disasters, fight against drugs, fight against corruption, judicial and police cooperation, research, culture, tourism , Etc. agreed.
He added:
On behalf of the Islamic Republic of Iran, a 50-member delegation consisting of managers and experts of all specialized public and private agencies participated in the nine committees of this council, and I should appreciate the effective presence of all these loved ones.
Safari also referred to the 11th meeting of ECO Transport Ministers, which was held this week with the participation of the ministers of the member states, and good decisions were made regarding the strengthening of rail, road and sea transportation between the member states, and added:
These decisions include requesting the ECO Development and Trade Bank to hold an international conference on attracting investment for ECO transport projects, supporting the continued transfer of cargo through ECO rail and road corridors, and constructing missing links. These include the Rasht-Astara railway and the restoration of old routes, support for a uniform mechanism for issuing visas for managers and drivers of transport companies in the region, establishment of facilities at border points for smooth and fast movement of food, medicine and humanitarian aid and related goods. He noted further efforts to provide smooth access for ECO landlocked Turkish tourists to open waters, the establishment of an ECO maritime transport network, including the establishment of cruise ships in the Caspian Sea, and the strengthening of the air transport network between member countries for tourism purposes.
He continued: Our country's delegation headed by Rostam Ghasemi also actively participated in this meeting.
