Wednesday, 2 February 2022 (YJC)_Iranian interior minister announced that this year the revolution’s anniversary will be held in drive-in format.
According to the Iranian interior minister Ahmad Vahidi, amid the rise of daily cases of the Covid-19 in Iran, this year the revolution’s anniversary will be held in drive-in format on February 11.
The negligence of health-related instructions causes the increase of Omicron cases and the Interior minister said “despite the previous announcement that we wanted to hold anniversary rallies with the participation of people rallying in streets across the cities in the country, we are going to hold it in drive-in format.”
He also said that “the National Taskforce for Fighting Coronavirus decided to hold the revolution’s anniversary in this format.”
On Tuesday it is reported that Iran recorded 50 new Covid-19 deaths and more than 35,000 new cases of infection with the virus.
