Tuesday, 1 February 2022 (YJC)_ Leader of Islamic Revolution expressed condolences over the passing of Grand Ayatollah Lotfollah Safi Golpaygani.
Iranian Media announcd on Tuesday that the Iranian senior theologian Grand Ayatollah Lotfollah Safi Golpaygani passed away.
In his message, Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei expressed condolences over the passing of senior Iranian theologian to his honorable family and his pupils at Seminary.
“Ayatollah Safi Golpaygani's revolutionary services and important responsibilities during the Islamic Republic era was significant,” he noted while praying God to bestow divine forgiveness and blessings on him.
Ayatollah Lotfollah Safi Golpaygani was the author of several significant books on Shia jurisprudence. He was born in 1919 in Golpayegan and died from cardiac arrest on 1 February 2022, at the age of 103.
Grand Ayatollah Borujerdi was the person under supervision of whom Grand Ayatollah Lotfollah Safi Golpaygani studied in Qom.
Ayatollah Safi Golpayegani's scientific efforts left a valuable legacy and capital for the Islamic world.
