Tuesday, 1 February 2022 (YJC)_ Commander of the Iranian Navy noted that the joint drill held by Iran, Russia and China aimed to strengthen the regional security.
Referring to the recent joint drill held by Iran, Russia and China, Commander of the Iranian Navy Rear Admiral Shahram Irani noted that it was held to strengthen the regional security.
“Holding the recent naval drills by Russia, Iran and China, we set a new model for ensuring safety and security of maritime in international waters,” he noted.
He went on to add that “Iran’s naval presence, which is effective and recurring, is very significant to promote sustainable maritime security.
Naval forces from China, Russia, and Iran launched the Marine Security Belt 2022 Exercise earlier this month.
The Iranian armed forces along with Russian and Chinese maritime forces held explanatory meetings and then initiated the military drills in the northern Indian Ocean.
