Deputy Chief of the Iranian Judiciary and head of the country's Human Rights Headquarters Kazzem Gharibabadi criticized two European diplomats for their request over releasing a convicted prisoner in Iran.
In a message on his twitter account, Gharibabadi wrote “If these two French and German officials are concerned about human rights, they should adopt a stance on the victims of MKO (who are operating freely in their countries) in Iran instead of defending a convict.”
Prior to this message, the German Commissioner for Human Rights Luise Amtsberg and the French Ambassador for Human Rights Delphine Borione claimed sentencing of Iranian prisoner Narges Mohammadi is unfair and called for her immediate release.
Also, in reaction to the French Foreign Ministry’s recent remarks Secretary of Iranian Judiciary's Human Rights Council, Kazem Gharibabadi urged France to fulfill duty in terrorism fighting.
“To point out the difference between Iran and France, we should say we deal with criminals according to the law, but France protects criminals and terrorists,” Gharibabadi noted while pointing to the active presence of some members of MKO and called it as a confirmation.
