Qatari Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani commented on the content of the conversation between Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad and US President Joe Biden.
He told Al-Jazeera:
The Qatari side is not talking to the Iranians and the Americans to convey the message, Doha believes that a return to the nuclear deal is a factor of regional stability.
Muhammad ibn Abd al-Rahman continued:
Doha uses open channels between Washington and Tehran to bring views closer and is interested in reaching an agreement on Iran's nuclear program.
The Qatari Foreign Minister added:
Doha welcomes the concerns of all parties in order to discuss it, and Tehran has shown its desire for good neighborliness.
Regarding recent statements on a possible energy crisis in Europe, he said that Qatar is ready to cooperate with gas producers and consumers and will not be in favor of any political polarization in this regard.
