Oman's Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad bin Hammoud al-Busaidi arrived in Damascus today (Monday) at the head of an official delegation at the International Airport.
According to the official Syrian news agency SANA, Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal al-Maqdad welcomed his Omani counterpart and accompanying delegation, saying:
Relations between us continue and have not been severed. Oman, the brother country, stood by Syria in the war on terrorism.
The Omani Foreign Minister also said:
I am very pleased with the trip to Syria, with which we have strategic relations, and I am eager for consultations and talks in order to develop bilateral relations and strengthen Arab cooperation.
He added:
Oman is eager for the return of Arab cohesion to its normal state and is making every effort in this regard.
