Sunday, 30 January 2022 (YJC)_ The Iranian Health Ministry spox announced that 21,996 new Covid-19 cases has been detected in the country in the past 24 hrs.
The Iranian Health Ministry spokesperson announced on Sunday that 21,996 new COVID-19 infections have been detected across the country in the past 24 hours 1,209 of which has been hospitalized.
“A sum of 21,996 COVID-19 infections and 44 deaths has been identified due to the disease in the past 24 hours” the spox said while adding that “This brings the total number of cases to 6,344,100.”
44 COVID patients have lost their lives in the past 24 hours that bring the total death toll 132,424,” the ministry added.
“1,404 people are being treated in ICUs in hospitals across the country, while 6,102,200 have already gained recovery,” the health ministry added.
The ministry also added that over 60.69 million Iranians have received the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine, over 54.04 million have received the second dosage, and more than 16.87 million have gotten the booster shots.
According to the latest figures, more than 373,636,068 people have so far been infected with the novel coronavirus globally, with the deaths standing 5,677,607 and recoveries amounting to 295,035,085.
