Saeed Khatibzadeh, spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran this morning (Saturday), condemned the targeting of Baghdad airport as an attempt to destabilize Iraq.
The spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs added: "Such suspicious actions have created insecurity and unrest in Iraq, paving the way for the ill-wishers and seditionists, and affecting government services for Iraqi citizens."
Khatibzadeh emphasized:
The Islamic Republic of Iran has always supported the establishment and maintenance of security in Iraq, the development and progress of this country, the pervasiveness of security and the integration of Iraq, and the actions of the Iraqi government in stabilizing and establishing this country.
