Local sources in the northeastern Syrian city of al-Hasakah reported today (Friday) the bombing of several homes around the city by US fighter jets under the pretext of targeting ISIL terrorists, causing widespread destruction in the region.
According to the official Syrian News Agency (SANA), at the same time as the airstrikes, Kurdish militias known as the "Syrian Democratic Forces" (Qassad) also conducted house-to-house searches around al-Sina'a prison in the Ghoyran neighborhood of al-Hasakah.
The Syrian government has repeatedly written to the Security Council and the United Nations protesting US airstrikes on civilian areas under the pretext of fighting ISIS, calling the attacks a violation of Syrian sovereignty. Attacks that cause widespread destruction of the target area, so that during the operation to liberate the city of Raqqa from the occupation of ISIS in October 2017 following US airstrikes, the city was completely destroyed and thousands of civilians were killed.
Local sources in the northern Syrian province of Raqqa also reported yesterday (Thursday) that 50 civilians had been abducted in the city of Raqqa and surrounding villages by militants known as the "Syrian Democratic Forces" (QSD).
The Syrian government says Kurdish militants are making widespread arrests of their opponents under the pretext of fighting ISIS. The Syrian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Sunday that in the past few days, ISIL and Qassad gangs have carried out massacres of civilians and extensive destruction of infrastructure in al-Hasakah province, and that US occupying forces are involved in the attacks, which have claimed civilian lives.
