Wednesday, 26 January 2022 (YJC)_ Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces warned the regions country from the threats posed by Zionist regime.
In a meeting with Azerbaijan’s Minister of Defense Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Hossein Baqeri express the concern over the security threats posed by the Zionist regime in the region.
“The insecurity in the region is because of the threats posed by the Zionist regime against the stability of the countries,” General Bagheri said.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Iranian commander expressed his hope that the bilateral ties between Iran and Azerbaijan become more powerful regarding defense, technical and military cooperation.
He went on to say that more consultations between the Iranian and Azerbaijani officials is needed to prevent misunderstandings, and noted “what we want is to solve issues in the region by regional countries without any foreign interference.”
General Bagheri further highlighted the fact that every step should be taken in a way that “The territorial integrity of all countries be respected” and said “Iran is sensitive about the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.”
He also warned against the terrorists in Syria and Iraq and said “they are trying to boost their presence in the region, including in Afghanistan, the Caucasus and the Central Asia,” while urging regional countries to strengthen their cooperation to counter terrorism.
