Wednesday, 26 January 2022 (YJC)_ Iran’s Permanent Representative to the UN urged UNSC to recognize Israel and Saudi-Led Coalition responsible for violation in Palestine, Yemen.
Addressing a UN Security Council session on ‘wars in cities: protection of civilians in urban settings’, Iran’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations Majid Takht Ravanchi urged UNSC to recognize Israel and Saudi-Led Coalition responsible for violation in Palestine, Yemen.
“Decades-long systematic inhumane and apartheid policies and practices of the Zionist regime is the most obvious and serious violation of IHL (the international humanitarian law),” he said while naming violations such as deliberate, systematic, and massive killing of civilians, specifically women and children.
Prior to this, Takht Ravanchi warned that the Zionist regime's crimes and the UN Security Council's inaction is the reason behind the current situation in the occupied Palestinian territories.
The Yemen war is started in March 2015 by Saudi Arabia to change the country’s ruling structure in favor of its former Riyadh-allied government.
