Wednesday, 26 January 2022 (YJC)_ The acting interior minister of the Taliban interim government has said that they will continue to threaten the Taliban if the United States refuses to recognize it.

Taliban Interior Minister: If the United States does not recognize us, we will continue to threaten itIn an interview with Al Jazeera, Sirajuddin Haqqani, the acting interior minister of the Taliban interim government, said that if the United States did not recognize their government, they would continue to threaten the country.

Haqqani added that the group would continue to make threats against the United States as long as the United States refused to recognize the Taliban.

By refusing to recognize the Taliban, Haqqani says the United States is keeping the gates of hostility against the Afghan people wide open.

Sirajuddin Haqqani noted that once they are recognized, they will no longer be a threat to anyone and that no terrorist organization or group is currently present on Afghan soil.

The acting interior minister of the Taliban interim government further stated that the Taliban is committed to the Doha agreement with the United States and that the United States must fulfill its obligations under this agreement.

Regarding the return of former security forces to the ranks of the Taliban, Haqqani said that the former security forces will be re-engaged in security issues due to their piety and tact.

On the other hand, he said about those who engage in corruption and illegal activities in the ranks of the Taliban that these people are handed over to the judiciary at the behest of the Taliban leader; But at present the number of these people in the ranks of the Taliban is small.

Sirajuddin Haqqani, the Taliban's acting interior minister, made the remarks as the United States set a $ 1 million reward for his arrest and he is on a wanted list by the US Federal Police.

Meanwhile, countries around the world have set conditions for the Taliban to recognize the Taliban government, including the formation of an inclusive government, respect for human rights, including women's rights, the fight against terrorism, and the cessation of cooperation with terrorist groups, including al-Qaeda.
