Tuesday, 25 January 2022 (YJC)_ The Iranian ambassador to Russia called the coalition of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China examples of strategic alliances that are of concern to the United States and the West in general.
Iran's ambassador to Russia, Kazem Jalali, told reporters on Monday during a working visit to Russia's North Ossetia region in the North Caucasus that a possible Iran-Russia-China alliance would be very painful for the West.
He added:
Naturally, the United States and the West in general are concerned about the new alliances that are currently being formed in the international arena, and the coalition of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Russian Federation, and the People's Republic of China are examples of such strategic alliances.
According to Russia's Tass news agency, Jalali described Russia as a great power with enormous economic, defense, military and technological potential.
According to him, China is about to overtake the United States in terms of economic growth. He also said that Iran is a large and economically developed country that has made great strides in its defense industry.
The Iranian diplomat added:
That is why it would be very unpleasant for the West to form such an alliance [including Russia, Iran and China].
