Sunday, 23 January 2022 (YJC)_ During a meeting with his Pakistani counterpart, the Iranian ambassador to Kabul discussed the establishment of long-term security and stability in Afghanistan through economic cooperation.
Bahadur Aminian, Iran's ambassador to Afghanistan, met with his Pakistani counterpart Mansour Ahmad Khan.
The Pakistani ambassador tweeted about the details of the meeting:
They exchanged views with the Iranian ambassador in Kabul on long-term stability in Afghanistan through economic cooperation and regional transit.
Earlier, Iran's ambassador to Kabul, Bahador Aminian, met with Matt Nadsen, the UN Under-Representative in Afghanistan, to discuss stability and security, an inclusive government and economic development in Afghanistan.
The Iranian ambassador to Kabul last week also met with former President Hamid Karzai and senior Afghan politicians Abdullah Abdullah and stressed the need for stability and humanitarian assistance.
Iran has always stated that its policy in Afghanistan is clear and wants to form a comprehensive government while communicating with all Afghan parties.
In this regard, Iranian Foreign Minister Amir-Abdollahian, in a meeting with Taliban Foreign Minister Amir Khan Mottaqi, who had traveled to Tehran, stressed the need to provide acceptable indicators in this regard regarding the formation of an inclusive government.
Tehran has previously stated that while identifying with the Taliban, identifying the group is not on the agenda.
