Kazemi Qomi: A diesel transit permit was issued at the request of the Afghan authoritiesHassan Kazemi Qomi, Iran's special envoy to Afghanistan, tweeted:
In order to meet the needs of the Afghan people in the winter and according to the request of the Afghan authorities from the Islamic Republic of Iran, a permit for the transit of diesel to Afghanistan from the territory of Iran was issued for three months.

The permit was issued at a time when fuel prices, including liquefied natural gas, have risen sharply in Afghanistan in recent months. The reason for this is the unprecedented rise in prices against the Afghan currency.

Earlier, Taliban Foreign Minister Amir Khan Mottaqi met with senior officials, including Kazemi Qomi, during his visit.

According to the Taliban Foreign Ministry, the meeting focused on bilateral economic and political relations between Afghanistan and Iran, increased flights, ground transit and other facilities, and the provision of facilities for Afghan refugees.

Meanwhile, some officials during the Iranian ambassador's meeting thanked Tehran for its assistance and support to the Afghan people.

"Abdullah Abdullah" and "Hamid Karzai" in the meeting with "Bahador Aminian" appreciated the assistance of the Islamic Republic to Afghanistan and emphasized the constructive role of Tehran in this country.

Iran is one of the leading countries in sending humanitarian aid to Afghanistan and has always stated that its people are a priority in foreign policy.
