Pakistani Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmad said the "remnants of some small groups" who had been defeated by the Taliban wanted to create an "atmosphere of terror" in Pakistan.
These groups include some elements of the Indian intelligence service, Afghanistan's national security, and elements from 42 different groups that were present in Afghanistan as a coalition.
According to him, in an action, the Ministry of Interior has put the armed forces and police on alert due to the increase in terrorism cases in Pakistan.
According to a statement issued by the Pakistani Interior Ministry, law enforcement agencies (LEAs) have been instructed to consider an "extraordinary level of vigilance and alert" following the recent terrorist attacks in the country.
The Pakistani interior minister said no talks had been held with ISIL, saying the Baloch Nationalist Army (BNA) was a "small group".
He recalled that on January 18, two terrorists were killed in an armed attack on Islamabad police in Islamabad, which was later claimed by the Pakistani Taliban.
