Thursday, 20 January 2022 (YJC)_ Iranian Oil Minister announced that Tehran and Moscow have signed important agreements in the fields of gas, oil and energy.
While referring to his meeting with Russian Minister of energy Nikolay Grigoryevich Shulgino and Deputy Chairman of the Government of Russia Alexander Novak, Iranian Oil Minister, Javad Owji announced that Tehran and Moscow have signed important agreements in the fields of gas, oil and energy.
“Many powerful Russian companies have signed agreements with Iran with the aim of expanding cooperation in the development of gas and oil fields, the construction of petro-refineries, the transfer of technology and technological equipment,” he announced.
He went on to say that the results of the agreements that have been signed by Iran and Russia will be shown in near future while saying that “We clearly showed our determination and despite the sanctions imposed on Tehran and Moscow, the Ministry of Oil is to make relations strong and continuous.”
Among the issues discussed in the meeting were “Expanding economic ties, removing banking customs, and infrastructure barriers, strengthening cooperation between Tehran and Moscow in the field of oil and energy, and joint investments in energy infrastructure projects.”
