Tuesday, 18 January 2022 (YJC)_ The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in a telephone conversation with the Foreign Minister of Niger, stressed the balanced foreign policy and the will of the 13th government to strengthen and develop relations with Africa.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Massoudi, discussed bilateral cooperation and issues of mutual interest in a telephone conversation.
The Foreign Minister of Niger first demanded that the President of Niger send a warm greeting to the President of our country and stated:
The government and people of Niger have always appreciated the good relations between the two countries since the establishment of relations, especially after the Islamic Revolution in Iran, and want to expand and deepen these relations in all fields.
While emphasizing the important position of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Niger Foreign Minister called for a meeting of the Joint Commission of the two countries in Niamey.
Emphasizing a balanced foreign policy, Amir Abdullahian emphasized the will of the new Iranian government to strengthen and develop relations with Africa.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of our country added:
We believe that the relations between the two countries have a great potential for development and expansion, and the proposal to hold a joint commission is a good and effective step in this direction.
