Sunday, 16 January 2022 (YJC)_ The governor of Latakia, during a meeting with the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Syria, welcomed the implementation of joint projects, especially in the field of electricity generation in this province.
The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Syria, Mehdi Sobhani, met with the Governor of the coastal city of Latakia, Amer Ismail Hilal. In this meeting, the fields of economic cooperation were discussed.
In this meeting, the governor of Latakia stressed the need to use Iran's experiences in various fields, especially the recycling of dry waste, fruit and dried fruit industries and other fields.
Noting that Syrian officials are emphasizing the expansion of economic relations and cooperation with Iranian companies, he added:
We welcome joint projects with the Iranian side, especially in the field of electricity generation in Latakia province.
Referring to the need to increase economic cooperation with Syria, the Iranian ambassador spoke about the important and vital role of Latakia in Syria's economic affairs and stressed the need for provincial cooperation to increase trade between the two countries.
